Re: Rate Increases
Over the past few months, the Board of Directors has devoted considerable time to District finances and consideration of future projects necessary for the well-being of the District.
As a result of that activity, the Board has determined that the basic water fee will see an increase of $7 per month, beginning January 1, 2018. This increase is necessary to begin funding the replacement of residential water meters throughout the District. The water use rate of $11 per every 1000 gallons will remain the same.
Another increase necessary for 2018 is the sewer fee. This past year, the City of Woodland Park increased their regular charges to our bill. Thus, if you are a sewer customer with the District, the sewer portion of your bill will increase $3 per month in 2018 to cover those increases.
These rate increases will go into effect on the February 1 bill:
The 2018 budget will be presented and approved at our next meeting on Wednesday, 11/29 at 6:00pm, at the Midland Professional Building, 400 West Midland Avenue.
The December meeting will include our “Budget Hearing” — a meeting required each year by the State of Colorado. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, 12/27 at 6:00pm, at the same location.
As a District customer, you are always welcome at each Board meeting. The Board meeting schedule is posted on our website at www.tellerwater1.com.
