District Finances & Rates for 2021

Time again for the annual letter regarding District finances for next year – 2021.

Rate Increase

To maintain the financial health of the District, the Board is anticipating a sewer increase of $1.00. The basic water fee and water use fee will remain the same.

This rate increase will go into effect on your February 1st bill next year (2021):

The District Budget for 2021

The 2021 budget will be presented and approved at the next Board meeting on Wednesday, 11/11, at 5:00 PM, at the office of Lisa M Rector CPA, 212 S. Chestnut St.

The December meeting will include our “Budget Hearing” – a meeting required each year by the State of Colorado. This meeting will be held on Wednesday, 12/9, at 5:00 PM at the same location.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Teller County Water & Sanitation District #1, Teller County, Colorado, that at the close of business on the sixty-third (63rd) day before the election or thereafter there were not more candidates for Director than offices to be filled, including candidates filing affidavits of intent to be write-in candidates; therefore, the election to be held on May 5, 2020, is hereby cancelled.

The following candidates are declared elected by acclamation:

  • Kerry Ahlstrom: 3 Year Term to May 2023
  • Jay Hetzel: 3 Year Term to May 2023
  • Mike Sperry: 3 Year Term to May 2023

TELLER COUNTY WATER & SANITATION DISTRICT #1

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, and, particularly, to the electors of the Teller County Water & Sanitation District #1 of Teller County, Colorado.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that an election will be held on the 5th day of May, 2020, between the hours of 7:00 am & 7:00 pm.  At that time, 3 directors will be elected to serve 3-year terms.

Self-Nomination and Acceptance forms are available from the Designated Election Official (DEO): Mike Sperry (Secretary, Board of Directors), (719) 687-3611, tellerwater@gmail.com, PO Box 578, Woodland Park, CO 80866. Self-Nomination and Acceptance forms must be filed with the Designated Election Official for the District at the above address not less than 67 days prior to the election (Friday, February 28, 2020).

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that applications for absentee ballots may be filed with the Designated Election Official of the District at the above address between the hours of 7:00 am & 7:00 pm until the close of business on the Tuesday immediately preceding the election (Tuesday, April 28, 2020). All absentee ballots must be returned to the Designated Election Official by 7:00 pm on election day.
